Liqui Moly 6105 Stone chip protection grey (spray)

Stone chip protection coating based on rubber and resins. Characterised by fast drying and recoatability, provides abrasion-resistant corrosion protection, excellent protection against stone chipping and has sound-absorbing properties. A permanently elastic film remains after complete drying. Can be painted over with standard paint systems and is easy to sand after drying.

As stone chip and corrosion protection on visible vehicle parts such as sills, rear and front aprons as well as for chassis and body parts.

Application

Clean the surfaces to be treated thoroughly in advance and remove any rust. The surfaces must be dry and free of wax, dirt, grease and dust.

Shake well before use! Once the ball is free, continue shaking for approx. 1 min. Hold the can vertically when spraying and apply a thin layer at a distance of approx. 20-30 cm. The thicker the layer, the greater the abrasion resistance and corrosion protection. The spraying process should therefore be repeated 1-2 times after a short flash-off time. To avoid spray shadows, spray in a cross-coat pattern. Can be recoated after approx. 60-90 minutes (depending on layer thickness, temperature and humidity), whereby most of the usual water-based and solvent-based 2K and base coats can be used. When using a 2K paint, we recommend first applying a coat of plastic primer and then recoating once this coat is completely dry, as recommended by most paint manufacturers.

Recommended application temperature: 15-25 °C

We recommend applying thin coats. Depending on the desired layer thickness, intermediate drying should be carried out after each layer. If the stone chip protection is painted over at a later date, the layer will increasingly harden. This means that the treated surface must be treated with a plastic primer as for plastics.
